Journalist Elizabeth L. Cline speaks year-round about fashion sustainability and ethics, textile waste, fast fashion and other themes from her landmark book Overdressed. Through tailor-made presentations, she inspires audiences to better understand how fashion impacts the world and how we can each help to create a more responsible clothing industry. She’s given intimate talks to classrooms of a dozen students as well as to corporate events attended by major fashion brands and everything in between.
Cline has given more than 60+ speeches since 2012. Clients range from corporate and trade groups to city governments, universities and secondary schools. Her talks are customized to whatever your audience might be interested in, from ethical consumption to student activism to the future of fast fashion in our sustainable future.
Just a few of her past clients have included the Italian Fashion Chamber, The Chicago Humanities Festival, Fashion Institute of Technology, Parsons, Pratt Brooklyn Fashion + Design Accelerator, Boston College, American Apparel and Footwear Association and the Kansas City Mid-America Regional Council. For a sample of her work, view her 2016 talk at Chicago Humanities Festival.
